Fresh like Crest©

So i thought i would keep this MF rolling like the sturdy freight train she is. I'd been thinking that it would be better to end the blog as some kind of stagnant remnants of what once was but that seems like a load of ignorance. All i can hope for is that this will stay as some kind of trail of fire as life can be at times. Once i had a piece of dog dung blog where i didn't know what else to post but album covers (still love them: check out Conifer's "Crown Fire" cover), Little Ceasar's graphics, and found photos of a large naked man at his computer.

Since i am right now at a place where it is difficult to get a good enough connection to the world wide web to upload photos, this whole leap of progress will have to wait....maybe until i get a friggin' laptop of me own!

"Its never been more important that i sleep somewhere safe tonight..."

Hazy view from Seattle of Mt. Rainier - Photo: Derek Emery ©2008 (jk!)

This my friends is the final posting for this trip. I think. There is always the possibility that an "Odds & Sods" thing might pop up.

The above title is really perfect I think for the end of a 2 month road trip. On some level or another you might just feel that way. In addition, the quote was really spoken right toward the end of this trip and at one of the more hazy time periods. It fit like a glove and yet somehow also fit like those mittens that great-grandma knits for you every Christmas but haven't fit since you were 8. As much as you might try to keep your belongings, food items, emotions, gasses, mouths and ideas in check, the trip always gets you. This is a good thing. Driving across the USA (which after Tuesday night I finally have some kind of hope for!) and seeing all the beautiful sights is one thing. The mess of traveling in close quarters with a group of friends is also really awesome. It is the latter part that allows you to do and say things you would not have done otherwise down the road.

So here are a couple of random photos that don't mean too much but whatever :

I sold this last night. I have had 2 ruined derailleurs and am now over it. My friend Jason came through:
